Prince Caspian and Silly Caleb

Thursday was our 4th anniversary, so to celebrate we went out to see the new "Prince Caspian" on Saturday. It was really good! They made some changes, but we felt like they were good choices.

I'm kind of neurotic; if I'm going to see a movie that's based on a book, then I have to read the book before I go to see the movie. Sometimes that's been a bad choice (like with the Harry Potter movies...) because the movies just don't do the books justice. However, "Prince Caspian" turned out rather well. The book is probably the slowest of the Narnia series, and it amused me to no end that Lucy and Susan spent most of their time dancing in the woods with Aslan, Bacchus and the fey. They didn't have that problem in the movie, though.

For the last few days, Caleb keeps coming downstairs with these cute shorts and asking me to put them on him. There's a little problem with that, though, they're Kaiana's. My Aunt Carrie loaned me a really cute "First 4th of July outfit" and the shorts go with that. I just keep taking them away and telling him that they're Kaiana's. Well, I guess he decided that I'm just not very fair, because this is how he came downstairs yesterday morning:

Well, I've enjoyed reading my friends' and family's blogs, so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm not going to do any introductory stuff, because I'm only sending this to people I know, so you don't need it. ;-)

I hope you all enjoy the beautiful, pre-made layout. Someday I might look into changing it to something else, but not tonight.

Caleb and I crashed Primary Activity Day today. No one minded, though, because I brought the baby. It was pretty fun. He got to do a relay race and play musical chairs. He kept forgetting that he was supposed to find a chair, so he got beaten out by the older kids pretty quickly. He didn't seem to mind too much, though.

I got some sad news at the Church too, though. Mom was there practicing the organ, and she told me that GG, my great-grandmother, passed away this morning. She lived in Indiana, so I hadn't seen her since she came to visit Tucson 4 1/2 years ago. I kept hoping that we'd be able to take a vacation out there sometime soon, but it didn't happen. GG was always a lot of fun to spend time with. She had a great sense of humor and really enjoyed life. I wish my children had had the opportunity to get to know her.
